Welcome To Linwater – Site Video

Open year round Linwater Caravan Park near Edinburgh has pitches for caravans, motor-homes, campervans and tents plus a selection of beautifully decorated self catering holiday lodges and static caravans.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, you can take peaceful walks with the dog or kick back and relax after a busy day.  The kids will love our play park where they can meet new friends and run off steam. For everyone else, there are plenty of on site amenities to ensure you have a comfortable stay.

With so much to do in the surrounding area, you are guaranteed to have a memorable break with all the family.

Although surrounded by countryside, we are part of the City of Edinburgh so you have all the benefits of a city park without having to be in the middle of it.  Being only 4 miles from the Airport we are a great stop for your first and last night if you are hiring a motor home.  We are also 4 miles away The Ingliston Park & Ride which has regular trams to Bonnie Edinburgh where you can immerse yourself in the festival atmosphere.  To the west is Livingston and one of the largest shopping malls in the UK, plus a myriad of fabulous family activities. If that’s not enough, you can reach the famous Kelpies and Falkirk wheel within 40 minutes.

Opened in 1998 by the Guinan family, Linwater caravan park is still a small family owned site, now in its second generation.  Alastair and Katie live on site with their two children, and when on duty the wardens Jim and Jean are there too so there is always someone on hand to help.  Jim and Jean have been working with the family since 2016, when Jean; Alastairs’ mum became unable to work.   They are as much part of the family as they are members of staff.

The small team also includes housekeeper Jacki and part time cleaner Shelle.  Everyone mucks in, even the kids which can sometimes be interesting, but that’s how we love it.  The family pride themselves on upholding high standards including ensuring that Linwater is a happy place to work and visit.  All staff are paid the living wage as a minimum and respect for each other is a vital component to how they operate.   Nature and our environment are also important and the team is committed to ensuring that the park is a haven for many flora and fauna.  Don’t be surprised by all the bee friendly flowers!

We hope that this friendly atmosphere transfers across to the mood of the site and that you enjoy staying with us.
